the legend of new zealand/ Summer learning journey 2018/19

my 3 fun facts are.

1. to become a NZ citizen you must swear an oath to Queen Elizabeth. the reason I chose this fact is because I thought you just have to sign a paper to get your citizen.

2. The Auckland city sky tower is the tallest freestanding  structure in the Southern Hemisphere at 328 meters high. I picked this fun fact because I like the Auckland sky tower.

3. The official language is English and maori. I chose this fact was because I like learning maori.

  1. Mōrena Joslyne!

    My name is Mikey. I'm a member of the Summer Learning Journey team and I will be commenting on your blog posts this year. I'm looking forward to reading all of your wonderful posts and getting to know you over the next few weeks :)

    Well done for getting started on the activities so soon after finishing school! You've chosen some great little facts about Maui - have you read any of the stories about him? This particular activity looks like it might be from last year's programme, so here's a link to this year's activities if you'd like to give these ones a go;

    Also, remember to attribute the images you use on your blog to there owner. It's important that we acknowledge where we sourced our information and pictures from. Here's a link to help you do that on your future posts:

    4. Hi Joslyne!

      No need to apologise. It's an easy mistake to make. I'm glad I was able to point you in the direction of this year's programme :) I'll have a look at your latest post now. I'm glad your enjoying the activities. Is this your first time doing the Summer Learning Journey? Or have you done it before?

      Blog ya later! :)

  3. HI Joslyne,

    What fun facts about New Zealand. What do do you like best about the Sky Tower. I love how they can play with different colours at night to resemble significant causes.

    What is the thing that stood out the most for you learning about maori so far?

    Cant wait to hear your answers

  4. Hi Joslyne,
    It's me Gargee again! I am really happy to be reading your blog post and learning so much from it, because I've never heard of the Queen Swear Oath. I have never been to the Sky Tower before, but I would love to because I've heard so many cool things about it. Next time you could maybe fix up your punctuation a little bit because people who don't know these facts might think you spell Maori without capital letters.

    Happy Blogging
