  1. Hi Joslyne!

    Me again :)

Well done on tracking down this year's activities, and for getting started on them right away!

I think I'd have to agree with you. Logging is causing serious damage to our environment, and destroying the natural habitats of many animals. It is a hard decision to make though. Especially when you think about all of the jobs that it creates for New Zealand people, and all of the houses that are made out of the timber from those trees. Do you have any ideas on what we could build our houses out of if we didn't use timber?

You've made a great start to the programme, Joslyne. I can't wait to read more posts from you soon :)

    Blog ya later!

    1. Kia ora Joslyne,

That's an interesting idea! I'm not sure that it would keep our homes warm in the winter months though. What is your house made out of? Maybe we could plant more native trees to make up for all of the trees that we cut down - what do you think?

      Talk soon,

      Mikey :)

  3. Hi Joslyne,

I think it's great that you've identified that cutting down trees can Be damaging to our environment, however trees are used for so many things we need, housing, paper etc, what do you think about sustainable forresting? Or maybe planting more trees than we cut down?

Would love to see what you think 😊
